The Friends of Lancaster Cathedral

The Friends of Lancaster Cathedral was founded in 2006 as a group intended to help raise money for the maintenance of the Cathedral. Every year thousands of people pass through the Cathedralís doors, yet the burden of maintaining this fine church has always fallen almost exclusively on the Cathedralís parishioners. Now everyone who supports the work of the Cathedral can help.

Volunteer Your Time

Local volunteers can help in the parish and at diocesan events and concerts. People further away can help by promoting events at the Cathedral or simply by spreading the word! Could you give a little time? Contact us to find out more.

Make a donation online by credit or debit card

You can donate money online by clicking here. It costs over £400 a day to run the Cathedral, with additional money needed to help with larger maintenance programmes. Any donation - however small or large - is gratefully accepted.†
