The Organ at Lancaster Cathedral

This is the specification of the organ before the beginning of the current restoration programme. Some tonal additions will be made during the current work, and the revised specification will be posted here when work is complete.

The console is detached from the instrument but is in a fixed position on the West-end gallery.

The Organ was originally built by H. Ainscough of Preston in 1889, and was rebuilt in 1975 by Pendlebury of Clevelys.
The tuning and maintenance of the instrument is entrusted to
Willis and Sons of Liverpool.
