In 2009, Lancaster Cathedral will celebrate its 150th anniversary. Many events will take place to mark this important milestone.

We need your help! Lots of volunteers will be needed to make the celebrations work and to raise funds for a year of events.

Memories and Photographs
We are keen to hear your stories from the history of the parish, and to get copies of any old photographs/artefacts connected with the Cathedral. We have a fairly limited archive; hopefully in this anniversary we have a chance to fill in some gaps! Memories and pictures will be useful in producing a book of the parish's history (updating the book first published in 1910) and in producing a major exhibition in 2009.

If you can help us in any way (volunteering, fundraising, providing old photographs/stories), please call us on 01524 384820 or email: clergy@lancastercathedral.org.uk
