Saint Thérèse of Lisieux in Lancaster

28th-30th September 2009

St Thérèse for Schools

Thérèse had a great sense of fun. She loved nature and had a lively spirit. She enjoyed questioning and exploring life. All of these aspects of her character - and many more - can make her very appealing for children and young adults. It is hoped that every school will be involved in the visit of her relics.

Organising a visit

An exciting programme for schools is being prepared, with activities on site during the visit. Full details are available in pdf format here.

We anticipate that most schools will visit on Tuesday 29th September, as this is the only full day of the visit. Some local schools may wish to come for the departure of the relics on the morning of Wednesday 30th. Booking for school visits is essential.

Before the Visit

Resources are now being made available to all Catholic Schools in the Diocese of Lancaster. If you have not received yours by Monday 15th June please contact us. It is hoped that even those who cannot visit the relics will discover something of Thérèse’s life and message.
